Filippas Engel The Filippas Engel Foundation
Auszeichnung Award: Filippas Engel top prize 2010
Art der Auszeichnung Type of Award: The former chairman of Go Ahead!, Jan Bildhauer, was awarded the Filippas Engel Prize by the eponymous foundation in 2010. Bildhauer was honoured with one of the year's top prizes for his engagement, which began with his voluntary work in a South African AIDS-orphanage, and then led to the creation of Go Ahead!.
Since 2003, the Filippas Engel Foundation, of the noble Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn family, has presented awards to young people who have excelled themselves through special social engagement.

Kieserling Stiftung Kieserling Foundation, Bremen
Auszeichnung Award: Social prize at the 2010 Bremen Logistics Day
Art der Auszeichnung Type of award: At the 2010 Bremen Logistics Day, which took place under the motto of "Play Fair - Global Logistics" and had South Africa as its partner country, Go Ahead! received the €15,000 Social Prize from the Kieserling Foundation. This money was used for the financing and running of the learning centre in KwaZulu Natal in South Africa.

Start Social Start Social - Help for Helpers
Auszeichnung Award: Start Social Grant 2009/2010
Art der Auszeichnung Type of award: In 2009, Go Ahead! was awarded the Start Social Grant. Under the motto "Help for Helpers", the contest - which is an initiative of McKinsey and the German government - supports the transfer of knowledge between commercial enterprises and social organisations. Go Ahead! was supported by two of their advisors. The focus was especially made on the 2010 kickHIV! Action Day as well as the long-term sustainability of Go Ahead!.

Civil Academy Civil Academy
Auszeichnung Award: Two grants from the Civil Academy in 2009
Art der Auszeichnung Type of award: The Civil Academy is short-term grant from the German Network for Civil Engagement (BBE) and German BP. This comprises of three weekend seminars in total, and offers an intensive training programme with experienced project managers for young people with project ideas. The first chairman Johannes Hillje and Homes of Hope director Jan-Martin Frie both took part for the kickHIV! and Homes of Hope programmes.

Landesstiftung Baden-Württemberg The Baden-Württemberg State Foundation
Auszeichnung Award: Project funding for the 2009 Youth Ambassador Programme
Art der Auszeichnung Type of award: In 2009, with the support of the Baden-Württemberg State Foundation and in collaboration with our partner Heartbeat in South Africa, Go Ahead! was able to start the Youth Ambassador Programme. The Youth Ambassador Programme was awarded €15,000 by the foundation.

Charity Star CharityStar
Auszeichnung Award: The 12/2009 CharityStar Prize
Art der Auszeichnung Type of award: CharityStar is an online contest run by I:COLLECT AG. Every six to eight weeks, €1,000 is awarded to a charitable project. The prize money is awarded to the project that receives the most votes from visitors to the website within this timeframe. In December 2009 the kickHIV! project from Go Ahead! received the most votes and therefore received the CharityStar and the prize money.
